Damauli – Local people will also get shares of solar energy plant to be established at Shuklaphanta municipality-5, Belchautari of Tanahun.
In order to secure local people’s ownership to the plant, the Solar Firm Pvt Ltd is making necessary preparation to allot shares of Rs 200 million to locals.
Company Manager Til Bahadur Ale shared local people as well as Non-Resident Nepali will also have shares of the company.
He informed that the shares amounting to Rs 200 million will be allotted for NRNs while Rs 100 million for the founders.
The project with 5-MW capacity will have an estimated investment of Rs 500 million. Ale further informed that the project will annually generate nine million units electricity.
The company has already signed an power purchase agreement with the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Company Administrator Hari Kumar Shrestha said the project has the plan to generate power within mid September next year.
The electricity generated from the solar plant will be linked to the national transmission line through the grid system. According to the Company, NEA will purchase per unit solar electricity at Rs 7.30 for 25 years.
