Kathmandu – The Nepali Congress has obstructed today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), demanding answer to the three questions posed to the government.

Soon after the beginning of the meeting, the major opposition, NC, obstructed the meeting demanding the answer after drawing government’s attention over the issues including action against the murderer(s) of Nirmala Panta of Kanchhanpur district and Nepal Tarun Dal, Rolpa Town President, Rohit Pun.

Similarly, the NC also drew government’s attention to release the editor of Khoj Talas Weekly, Raju Basnet.
Lawmaker Dilendra Badu on the onset of the meeting demanded to identify the murderer(s) of Panta and Pun as well as asked the government ‘On what basis editor Basnet was arrested?’

Badu insisted that they would obstruct the meeting until the government responses to their queries. During the protest, the NC lawmakers had stood from their respective seats.

On the occasion, Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara drew government’s attention over the issues raised by lawmaker Badal in the meeting.

The meeting was put-off for 10 minutes due to NC lawmakers’ obstruction.
